Five green star’s awarded to Carseldine Village
Carseldine Village has achieved a 5 Star Green Star Communities accreditation from the Green Building Council of Australia. This means it has attained a level of “Australian Excellence in Master Planning”.
Carseldine Village, will consist of mixed-use, diverse and affordable residential, aged care, small commercial and retail product, along with bushland and recreational open space areas.
Carseldine Village has been attracting significant attention lately for its’ sustainable urban design with 100% of the terrace homes including solar and battery creating a net zero energy emission neighbourhood.
The Green, a $6.5 million sport and recreation facility, features innovative power and water-saving technology. The sporting fields can be booked through an app called BrightSport which can also turn the lights on/off for the sporting users.
The pathway on a new $1million bridge, linking Carseldine Village to Aspley State High School is also lit using solar.
This development is the definition of innovative and sustainable living and is setting a new benchmark for other residential developments and homes of the future. It’s good to see Carseldine Village getting the accolades it deserves.
