Carseldine Village – Community Day

The Community Day held on 1 February 2020 helped to celebrate Brisbane northside’s newest, state-of-the-art $6.5m Sport and Recreation Precinct – The Green.

The day was a huge success with over 600 local community members partaking in activities such as:

• Sporting demonstrations lead by Baptist Football Queensland, Aspley ‘Devils’ Rugby League Football Club Inc., Bracken Ridge District Cricket Club as well as Brisbane Heat.
• Yoga and gym demonstrations lead by Back Yourself Fitness.
• Plant-making workshops.
• Kite-making workshops.
• Kids entertainment including face painting and balloon artist.
• Live music.
• Food trucks including Flavours of Eataly and Pequeña Cocina.

The Community Day follows the first cricket game held at The Green on 11 January played by Bracken Ridge District Cricket Club and Brookfield United Cricket Club.
